Spring Writing Competition

Prompt: Write about new beginnings.

We loved our February writing competition so much, we decided we couldn’t wait for another! The theme of this competition is spring, and we decided to keep the prompt broad to really encourage variety and creativity in entries. This competition will run from March 11th to April 30th at 11:59PM MT. All submissions must be sent to thelighthousebooksaurora@gmail.com by the end of the competition to be considered.

In the spirit of welcoming as diverse a group of writers as possible, we’ll also have two tiers to this competition, and a winner will be selected from each. If you consider yourself a “seasoned” or “experienced” writer, we ask for about 10,000 words. If you consider yourself more of a “beginner” writer, we ask for about 7,000 words.

The winners will get 50% off their publishing package with us! You’ll get the amazing support we offer, from editing to marketing, at half the normal price and without losing creative control!

Your submission should be about 10,000 words long or 7,000 words long depending on the tier and follow the prompt above. We can’t wait to see what your unique writing styles brings to the prompt and how you each make it your own!
